Board of Directors

Christina Murzin

President & CEO

Christina Murzin stands as an active and engaged pillar of her community, driving impactful change through her unwavering commitment and meaningful contributions. Prior to starting C.H.R.I.S., Christina was a member of HPISD’s Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) for eight years, where she served as Co-President for one year and helped develop the Accessible and Inclusive Committee. Christina also served on the Board of Directors at Connecting Point of Park Cities, a day program for adults with disabilities, also for eight years where she served as Treasurer, President and co-chaired the annual fundraiser. Christina now is a member on their Advisory Board, continuing her involvement with Connecting Point.

Christina founded The Chris Murzin Foundation in memory of her beloved husband, Chris, whose life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. Fueled by her determination to secure justice for her late husband and support families affected by similar heart-wrenching losses, Christina’s commitment shines brightly as she navigates a path of hope, healing, and advocacy.

Caroline Murzin

Executive Vice President

Caroline Murzin is an active student leader committed to her community, currently studying Plan II and Corporate Communications at The University of Texas at Austin. While she has engaged in myriad leadership opportunities, she reflects her passion in working with students with special needs and advocacy endeavors. Caroline served as Founder and President of Gifts Of Hope and Hoodies4Hope, an organization and business benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital. Her diligence and motivated attitude have compelled her to develop a variety of professional skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills, which contribute to her extensive leadership experience.

C.H.R.I.S. began after her Dad, her Biggest Cheerleader, was killed in a road rage incident that remains unsolved. As a go-getter, Caroline quickly learned that cases frequently go cold and that there is a lack of support, hope, and justice for families who might not have the resources to find their killers. With C.H.R.I.S., she is ready to positively impact the lives of those affected by these senseless acts of violence and help bring closure and justice.
